RAMM Training is coming to a desk near you.
What is a WebEx?
A WebEx is an online conference. It can be used for presentations, demonstrations, training and support. The RAMM trainers use WebExes to show users how to perform tasks in RAMM, to explain RAMM concepts and to enable RAMM users to ask questions and share experiences.
WebEx presenters perform tasks in RAMM on their computer which can be viewed by everyone in the conference. So WebEx participants can see and hear everything that the presenter does and says.
Questions from the participants are usually reserved until the end of the presentation.
Two WebExes Every Wednesday
It is easy to remember when the WebExes are being run - 10 am and 3 pm every Wednesday. Here are a few of the topics. Check this link for times and dates. WebEx Diary.
- Patrol in Pocket RAMM
- Patrol Reports
- CAR Manager
- What's New in RAMM 2011
- RAMM GIS
- RAMM Works Selection
- RAMM Pavement Builder
- Creating Security Zones

WebExes Are Free
There is no cost to RAMM users to take part in a WebEx. All you need is a phone and a computer with an internet connection.
Avoid Disappointment
You won't want to find out, just before your first WebEx, that your IT department has configured your firewall to preclude them. Best practice is to contact Support 0800 256 832, and ask them to set up a test WebEx for you so that you can check your connections.
Glen Nalepa, who trains RAMM users when not umpiring international softball, has taken overall responsibility for the in-house RAMM training and WebExes.
